How Recruiter Sourcing Limits Work

A sourcing limit describes an allowance for a particular input path. It does not describe every candidate you can review, and it does not promise a number of qualified candidates or hires. Before planning your recruiting work, separate sourced previews from resumes you already have and candidates available through Talent Network.

Jalvexa's Recruiter plans have monthly sourcing allowances of 100, 400 and 1,000 units. This guide explains how to think about those allowances and the boundaries of the preview flow. Use the current account information for the actual usage rules and remaining balance.

Separate the three candidate input paths

You may begin with a resume supplied to you, a relevant Talent Network candidate or a sourced candidate. Those paths can support review against a job, but they are not interchangeable for planning usage.

Uploaded resumes do not use sourcing units. Talent Network candidates do not use sourcing units either. A sourced preview belongs to the sourcing path and should be planned against the applicable allowance.

The candidate sourcing guide describes the role-to-profile task. Before starting it, use the Hiring Brief template to make the role specific. An unclear brief can lead to activity that does not help answer the hiring question.

Read the allowance as an allowance

PlanMonthly sourcing allowance
Recruiter100 units
Recruiter Pro400 units
Recruiter Team1,000 units

The corresponding monthly prices are $139, $299 and $599 USD. The plans share the same current core hiring features; they differ in their included sourcing allowances. See current pricing before choosing a plan.

Do not turn these figures into a forecast of candidates or placements. A unit allowance alone does not establish how many useful matches you will find. Nor should you assume how a failed operation, unused balance or month boundary is handled without checking the current account information.

The Team plan name does not include shared seats. Keep the allowance decision separate from any requirement involving several users.

Review the private preview within its window

A sourced preview is private and expires after one hour. Where available, it can show information such as a name, title and location. Those fields do not establish a complete employment history, present availability or interest in your role.

Plan to review the available information while the preview is accessible. Separate a supported match from a question that needs more information. A title may be relevant to the role, but it does not prove that the person performed every responsibility in your brief.

Do not treat the preview as a raw dataset to redistribute or a permanent record to retain outside the intended workflow. The candidate evaluation guide explains how to compare the information available with the job while making gaps explicit.

Use existing resumes without confusing the limits

If a candidate has already supplied a resume through an appropriate process, upload it through the intended path rather than assuming you must source the same person. Review the document against the job and ask about information that is missing.

The lack of sourcing-unit consumption on uploads and Talent Network is specific to sourcing units. It does not promise unlimited processing, unrestricted storage or access to information that is not available to you.

Keep a simple record of which path you intend to use for each part of your work. This makes an allowance forecast easier to understand and helps avoid counting all candidate activity as sourcing.

Make a fictional input plan

Suppose a recruiter has several resumes already supplied for a role and is considering additional sourcing. A planning note could look like this:

InputPlanned actionAllowance implication
Supplied resumesReview them against the agreed jobNo sourcing units for upload
Available Talent Network candidatesReview relevant candidatesNo sourcing units for this path
Additional sourced previewsCheck role relevance within the private preview windowPlan against sourcing allowance and account usage information
Missing candidate detailsWrite focused questionsDo not count an unanswered question as a confirmed match

The worksheet deliberately does not assign an invented unit cost to each profile. It separates the inputs so that the recruiter can use the actual account usage rules when planning the sourced part.

Start by checking whether the existing candidate information answers the role's main requirements. Additional sourcing should serve a hiring need, rather than become a target simply because an allowance exists.

Plan without unsupported extras

Jalvexa does not offer a sourcing add-on purchase. Do not rely on a separate top-up option when estimating a month's work. Review the current account balance and the available tier allowances before planning activity.

Contact drafts are not automatically delivered. Reviewing a candidate or producing a draft does not mean the person has been contacted, agreed to an interview or consented to any further action.

Explore the Recruiter workflow, compare allowances and prices or create your Recruiter account. The aim is to use the appropriate input for the job, understand the allowance that applies and make a clear next decision.
